Why haven't you responded to my email/message?
Because:
1. you asked a question that's already been answered here or
2. you asked a personal question that I don't want to answer or

Is this the real Evelyn Lin?

How did you get started in porn?
I hate this question because every time I answer it, I think "Wow I was a dumb shit back then." Basically a photographer told me porn was the way into import modeling because that's how this one girl who I went to high school with did it. A part of me knew it was fake I guess but hey, I loved sex (correction: I still love sex) and I would be getting paid to do it on camera. The guy charged me an agent's percentage though he only put my picture and some info on One Model Place. That's how I ended up shooting the 4 most hardcore scenes of my career. After I realized he was charging me 2 to 3 times more what licensed agents charged, I dropped him. It was after my first week in porn that I decided that I wanted to do it for longer. what an awesome job :)

Why did you pick the name "Evelyn Lin"?
I had liked the name Evelyn after watching the Mummy and the photographer that started me in porn suggested the "Lin" part. I personally would've picked something different but oh well! It's catchy.

Why is your site called "LoveEvelyn.com"?
Haha, I know, if you've never messaged me, it sounds very conceited. But "Love, Evelyn" is how I end my messages!

Where did you get the scar on your abdomen?
The scar on my abdomen is from when I got my appendix removed.

What is your tattoo of and does it mean anything?
My tattoo is of a phoenix and it's just a reminder to myself that if I fall, I can always pick myself up again and start anew, as a phoenix rises from the ashes.

Do you escort or do private shoots?
No, I don't do escorting or private shoots. If you paid me a couple of million, I'd go on a date with you but hell, who wouldn't? Or a new car *cough Ferrari cough* I do, however, shoot customized scenes FOR fans, not with.

I know I don't plan on staying in porn forever. I know that I have to stop one day and get a "real" job. Originally, I had wanted to do public relations but I'm not sure how a company feels about having an ex-porn star doing its PR. My only consolation is that "Asians all look alike" haha. If not, I could always be a publicist for someone in the industry. hey, porn stars need publicity too!

Aren't you afraid of catching AIDS and other STDs?
Let's put it this way: Yes, isn't everyone? But I feel a hell of a lot safer then a lot of other people out there! All performers in the industry are required to test monthly. and I know I can't say the same for many promiscuous non-industry people.

Do you do feature dancing or appearances?
Yes I do! I always keep fans updated on my appearances and feature dancing on either my Myspace blog, the News section on my site, or my Members Blog. If you would like me to do an appearance or feature dance at a club in your area, let the manager(s) know! The more requests I get at a club, the more likely they'll want to hire me. Also, if you're in touch with club promoters, recommend me! I've done appearances in Las Vegas (AVN), San Francisco (Exotic Erotic Ball) and dancing in Honolulu and Iowa.

When's your next movie coming out?
I really have no idea. Companies decide to release movies at their own pace, some almost immediately and others more slowly. I've had a movie come out almost 2 years after I shot it so, you never know. You can check for new releases at http://loveevelyn.com/store/

Can you help me get into the industry?
For girls: If you have any questions, I'd be more than willing to answer them for you. I had a rough start in porn and don't want that happening to anyone else. Just send me a message on Myspace or shoot me an email and I'd be glad to help you. Just make sure it's something you really want to do. Shooting porn is one of those things you can't undo and you'll either love it or regret it for the rest of your life. I'm most definitely not trying to turn you away; I'm just looking out for ya. If you go to an agency and they try to get you to sign a contract that says you'll be with them for X amount of time, don't do it. You should always be able to choose what you do and do not do!

For guys: Um, I still haven't figured out how guys do it. Most of them have connections with directors/producers or girls who are already in the industry. Peter North went the gay porn route but I wouldn't suggest that since many girls will not work with guys who've done gay porn. You can try perhaps contacting an agency and asking them for help but my best advice would be to start with smaller companies and work your way up. There are a couple of listings on Craigslist for male performers under "Gigs" and then "Adult". Make sure the company requires monthly testing for anything more than a solo, as is standard for the industry! Porn is hard work for guys-you have to get hard and stay hard in a room full of other people (often mostly other guys) and cum 5 to 10 minutes from when the director wants you to! If you think its all fun and games and just a chance to get laid, you're wrong! For girls, yeah, for guys, no.
